Free Range

Free Range Eggs are produced by hens which are free to roam outside during daytime if they wish. Their housing provides an area for scratching and dust bathing. They also have nesting areas, perches and food and water. Bird welfare is extremely important in Farmlay Eggs with this in mind all our Free Range Flocks are Freedom Food and Lion Code accredited. Barn Eggs

Barn eggs are produced by hens which have the same house conditions as Free Range Hens. The big difference is that they have no access to outside. The birds are housed in large Barns within which they roam freely. All our Barn eggs are produced to Freedom Food standards and Lion code standards click on the logos for further information.

Organic

All our Organic eggs are produced under Organic Farmers and Growers strict controls. The Hens are fed a certified organic diet and they have freedom to roam over Organically managed and Certified land. There is a maximum of 3000 birds in each house. Like Free Range and Barn a minimum of one third of the house must be a ground surface which the birds can use to scratch and dust bath.
